Terminal Heist Update

Wanted you guys to know we aren't dead, quite the opposite the art is almost done.  We've added two more programmers, we have rewritten about 70% of the server.  We have changed it from a ticket system to a username and password system.  We are experimenting with more of an isometric view, animated tiles, and a resizable screen on PC/Mac and Linux.  I know we keep delaying, but we've decided it would be stupid to try to launch an indy child of an indy game right into the holiday season and compete with the AAA games for news and attention.

Hopefully, we will have a Beta launch in early December with a gold master release in January.

Lastly, I am planning to put Terminal Heist up on Steam Greenlight this week, so voting help would be great at some point.

Thanks!

Re: Terminal Heist Update

Fantastic!  I've been waiting to hear news on this.  My only concern with an isometric view is knowing the field of vision of dogs/robots.  I guess it's something we would get used to.

Re: Terminal Heist Update

The big news is Cylence has come on board as level designer, and has come up with a really comprehensive (and great IMHO) set of levels meant to teach beginners the game.  We continue to work on improving the graphics engine, the server, etc.  I am rolling a new version today, if anyone wants to test the iPhone or Android version.  We should have some bigger news in the coming weeks.

Re: Terminal Heist Update

I've played through 150 levels now.  All are solvable, but 141 and 149 are the same level, I believe...

Re: Terminal Heist Update

I've now play tested and completed every level.  They are all solvable except 177, which seems to be missing a wire cutter to solve it.  141 and 149 are the same map.  The rest are great! Some real puzzlers in there!

Re: Terminal Heist Update

The credit goes to Cylence for the levels.  How did you find them as tutorial?  We should get the graphics in this month.  Stay tuned.

Looking forward to it. Had to take it off phone as did a factory reset but am adding it back now to try the next levels.

Also hope you don't mind but have been mentioning it and pointing people here from the Steam forum. Tried not to say too much, just sort of pointed people here.

Re: Terminal Heist Update

Cylence has done a great job, everything is explained step by step and even the most confusing mechanic of the game (pets movements priority) seems easy to understand now.

I haven't put either up yet. Working on the verbiage and graphics for the greenlight page. I own terminalheist.con and should get a website and forum up in the near future.

Re: Terminal Heist Update

I'm confused, in the first post you said youd have it up within the week. That was 2 months ago. Is this to do with delaying the release until after the holiday period or?

Also id be happy to beta test a windows version.

Re: Terminal Heist Update

Interestingly, we have increased the TH team from 2 to 5, you'd think this would speed things up, but as a result we have decided to do more. He we have decided to rewrite the server and the graphics engine, so we are probably look at a March/April release. Plus, I want the graphics on the greenlight page to match or be close to the finished product.  Sorry for the delay, trying to get as much as this right on the first go around as possible.  I assure you we are working on it, though.
