Yes indeed. My vault currently has more money in it then I've managed (a whopping 14k) before dying to something as silly as the things in this thread. part of me wants my house to be robbed so I can see where it is weak, but on the other hand that means my house was robbed and I'm broke. Yeah, speaking of that, I actually tried robbing you earlier on a 2k dive and I honestly could not spot any weakness in your house.
Keep up the good work

And here's my house, give or take a couple of mistakes updating a slightly out of date draft with a lack of fucks given: http://castledraft.com/editor/rWj9eq
It was supposed to be (and was for a while) a good balance between security and entertainment,
but by adding those two powered pits making it so that you need precise timing to get a specific dog to get you through a commitment gate I really went too far.
You might think collecting enough art eventually attracts a better class of robber. You'd be wrong.
I like this design a lot conceptually, but in practice, it has too many specific weak points for my liking. Despite costing over 100k to build, it can be brute forced for 9.5k, and mostly using common tools that the rich have boatloads of anyways. Anyone looking to brute-force this house would be out of their mind not to just cut along the wooden walls above the initial floors (For his own sake, I hope PsyBlade did this, or he really shouldn't be calling himself clever in the least). From there, blasting the wall would be the next, smart course of action: the robber can see that the wall is one thick, and thus can get past it for a pretty small cost. A doorstop then grants them safe entry into the penultimate area of the house. Finally, smart sawing would leave them with only two trapdoors to ladder over before they reached your vault!
This is a textbook example of a great, clever, and deadly design that's downfall is all to simple: thin, and often wooden walls. Frankly, with houses even a fraction of this complexity level, the chance of the intended solution being discovered is next to nothing. Protection against brute-forcing is what becomes paramount to success: build houses with thick concrete/pit walls, use methods to prevent tool use, and aim to stop robbers from being able to use tools to bypass solving your house.

Well, it's still an active house, so no freebies on what you see... But I just had one that was a 2-step death (didn't think anyone would actually do that...) but yeah. Guy walks in, and then jumped in a pit.

First, Storm, did I scare you into changing the map and self-test death? I hope to see this house again. Had a quite good idea of the vault's location.
And to not spam this thread: An example of the famous house of Mr. Harrison, the all beloved 1 step death trap and dual account dumping spot. After killing so many, he past away peacefully at his friends house.
There are a few tapes like that. Payed out well to place the vault exactly there.

And that is why when I see empty space such as that, I'll do a full scan across each screen to the wall, at each screen section. Not 100% safe, but it reduces the chances that you'll get surprised by a dog... or miss a vision-shift-obscured safe...

My house is still up and there's a couple people who know the solution to the entrance. I'll reveal it when my house gets broken. With 1 meat, you should be able to work it out without even having to cross. Come visit some time and play with my pets. Be careful of the dog though, he bites.
