Anyone in programming/design heard of Fitt's Law? I'm learning more about it in HCI right now.
The original study involves asking subjects to repeatedly press two buttons back and forth as fast as possible while making as few errors as possible.
Today, I'm reminded of Fitt's Law while trying to press the up/down arrows around the $2000 level. My hand is killing me.

I found myself doing that too....

I've heard of this a long time ago, but as I don't really work with that kind of stuff I sort of forgot the implications. May I propose a Blip's Law?
The amount of time we're willing to search for $2000, 0, 0 houses is directly proportional to our amount of free time by a constant k such that:
S=Tk, where S is the amount of time spent searching, T is the amount of free time, and k is a constant.
It can be easily proven that k = 1.

While you were looking for $2,000 starter houses, I've just found a $7,300 undefended one.

Yea I found a $5k one today too..... I have no idea how that happens.

Oh God, you're making me remember yesterday when I successfully robbed someone of ~$15000 using starter money, went to Castledraft to do basic design for my house, clicked back to the client to see I've been logged out due to inactivity.
So bad.

He/she probably used up all the money to buy items, then successfully robbed a house, then you entered the house before he/she was able to take any security measures.
...or they just want to donate.

Oh man, someone had been spamming $2000 house for about five minutes. Stop it! You're driving the rate up

That suggestion doesn't make sense, rate goes up by few cents maybe, yet the gain is about 2 dollars.
People are all trying the same thing, not just one person. If a person stops it, other one will do it. Game theory is a b*tch.
...OR, if I were a nasty developer, I would keep creating $2000 houses to increase the rate...

I just saw a guy with about $9k, 0, 0 in the list but didn't make it inside quick enough. The name was something like Richard Rodney Thomas. I hope it's not some kind of exploit.

The number of visits and deaths in a house resets when the owner changes the layout. Noticed someone I already tried to rob with $20k with 0,0 a little after he upped his defenses yesterday.

Yeah, I've done that a few times to attract more people and erase scary-looking death ratios.

I know, but I've just been to a $10k+ undefended house. Somehow they keep popping up.

This has happened to me before. Usually it's when I create a new game, have a few successful heists and then take too long to edit a house.
Because frankly, $2000 isn't enough to make a really defensible house imo. But that's part of the beauty of the game lol.

Yeah, resetting the kill ratios can be very helpful. A 20/25 death ratio can discourage all those newbies you want to try and ram raid your house so they can drop tools everywhere.
