Simple noob question about shotgun

I looked on the wiki, don't know if it is a regular question and as such should be reflected. Anyways, my question is; the range of the shotgun is 1, is this counted diagonally as well or is diagonal range 2?

I'm pretty sure it won't work diagonally. You can always test it!

I believe all distances in the game/wiki are movements, so in the wife's case, 1 range means not diagonally (since you can't move diagonally in 1 turn)

You can always test it!

No, her shotgun doesn't work diagonally.
