The best house with $2k

Hi, i would like to know what is the possible best house/best trap sistem you can build with only 2k, what i mean is what most of the people could fall in.
I don't know if i expressed myselft correctly, (english not my main language)
Its just every time i start i don't know what to build. I have a really good house in my mind but it would cost more than 2k. If i just build a part, its not gonna be as atractive as i want to be. Any ideas?

Re: The best house with $2k

There can't  be a best house because if there was, it would be so widely known that it would be easy to get through. But you can definitely build something decent for $2k. Here are a few $1800 houses that I think are fairly respectable:

I know there is not a "best house" but what i feel is that with only 2k you can't really attrac people and if you do with just a bit of luck they can reach your vault

Re: The best house with $2k

Take the first house I posted. Various parts of that design got me TONS of bounties. It seems safe but isn't. That's the key. And with a little fortification from bounties, it can be a great house.

The dog! The electric floor is a diversion. If they enter any door the dog takes them out. First, you have to get the dog stuck at the bottom and then come back up and enter.

The very top part is highly effective.

More dogs would help here, but this will get you started.

The electric floor are fake, just a jedi mind trick.

The dog sees you from the first step so will keep following you.
as there are layers of doors, you don't know if opening a door will meet you with an activated dog. (give you no chance to drug/shoot it)

The only solution is to know you have to walk down to the only place with 2 doors and not three, then open 1 door, making the dog walk forwards. once the dog is stuck there, you can walk back up to chance which door is correct.

Re: The best house with $2k

If you want a cheap addition that kills people with that trap, you can add something like this:
http://castledraft.com/editor/YOOyni

Most people's inclination will be to take the "safe route" up first - doing so will make the bottom sticky switch receive power, however.  This means that if they decide to risk going down after that, they'll be fried the step the take onto thegrid

It's very similar to Aavak's.  Close to what it looked like earlier.  LordOfHam, if you haven't seen it here's the link of it from the start.

yes it is very close to avaaks house. I started with it and have since upgraded and gotten close to 100 kills and probably 60K.

Nice magic step smile
also very cheap to start so plenty of funds to tempt others.

How you solve that? The pit is the vault?

Re: The best house with $2k

^Opening one of those doors with the dog alive is suicide. So you have to get the dog to suicide into the pit through a magic dance. Then the safe can be put anywhere in that area.

I've seen a very similar house but it had a complicated electronic magic dance. I'm wondering if it was you also? This is impressive!

That was me! Thank you! I have since upgraded the design to be more resilient against brute force.  The draft above was simply where I started.  When this house finally gets robbed I will post its current incarnation.

Why not use an electric floor with a power supply? It would be cheaper than a pit.
