Name your Price

Wallace

AMIRITE?

$320k. Knocked out everyone above $30k. Seems like another tyrant is in town, maybe even the same one (I was thinking it was josh since yesterday, but I'm not sure).

And now my hopes of getting to the top again are dashed....

Re: Name your Price

Wow, he's got 320,000 and the next house down is 29,000 right now.  That's quite a gap.

Re: Name your Price

You know, I'm tired of living in a world of private wealth management by PRICE WALLACE & ASSOCIATES.

Screw it.

Uh... didn't think that would happen either. Wow.

Let's be clear who did the disappearing last night. It was Wallace. Not I!

Re: Name your Price

I suppose I should say some words for my acceptance speech. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'd like to thank specifically all the people that helped me get here. But I don't remember their names, so sorry.

I came from nothing, so I know how you all feel. When I was just a boy with nothing but my dog Spot and my 2-bit watch, I dreamed about this day. And now it's finally here.

Let me assure you I'm going to keep all the promises I made during my campaign. Lowering crime against myself. Supporting the fine arts. Getting our economy started again with trickle down economics. Family values. Well, I don't have a family anymore... they were taken from me in three horrific incidents. Anyway, I promise not to take out your children unless I absolutely have to. Now that I've removed General Wallace from power, things around here are going to change. Rest assured that the new king won't be like the old king. At least for today because I'm pretty busy.

I'm Charles Jeffrey Penn and I approve this message.

Re: Name your Price

Eh, I wouldn't say that.

This morning I woke up and Wallace had $320k. He had taken out everyone above $30k. I had $24k and my value wasn't increasing quickly (4 visitors all night). So I was nobody.

I decided to make a stab at using my $24k to take out his wife. It worked surprisingly. He could have defended her better, but didn't.

I figured the rest of the house was a nightmare, so I decided to tool through part of the house and save damage by clubbing one of his kids.... so I could come back. But I actually got to the safe on that run without even bothering with the kids. I think I had brought about $45k of tools. Against a $320k$200k house, I don't think that's very much. Frankly, there wasn't much security past that initial scary part.

I would have like to see the insides of that house - the entrance hall seemed very close to Price's.

Re: Name your Price

Yea... I was thinking that too. Hopefully not jaynes again.

Like a dummy, I meant to record that run but forgot to hit the button. The safe was on the far right center, a straight shot from the front door. The middle was a bunch of powered doors. I think I blasted around maybe one and nothing else was really going on.

edit: YEA. I think we may have another hacker on our hands, maybe the same guy. He just walked back into my house for 2 steps. I figured he had already suicided since I took everything he had, but no... I checked his house and he already has $16k. The chances that he recovered $16k with no tools in the last couple hours are extremely slim. Maybe a dual account doing a re-up, but the way he skyrocketed to the top in the first place plus the wake he copied Price's entry way makes me think hacker.

update: I'm 99% sure if I leave my house I'm a goner. Just left and Wallace is in with $15k tools... we'll see.

update: er.... he died and he didn't seem to know what he was doing. I'm less certain now. Maybe it was just a guy with multiple accounts.

Re: Name your Price

You need 2 leaps of faith that possibly involve advanced electronics and a very dangerous magic dance just to take 2 steps into Jere's house. Jeez.

Re: Name your Price

I'll give you a hint. The first two steps are free. You can walk in and through the door safely. Actually, I tried to make that quite clear by having the two buttons in plain view. And don't take my word for it. If you look closely, you can see the entire first circuit is self contained. It's completely surrounded by concrete. WYSIWYG.

Walking right into the pit doesn't count though...... I have no idea why so many people think that is a valid option.

Re: Name your Price

So it is just a scary looking commitment trap then? Aw... But you could have made it so much worse, like; having a clock in the background that takes two extra turns to turn the power off so the burglar would have to dance back into the mat.

Re: Name your Price

WHY, WALLACE, WHY?!?!?

I had a 70k house marked out that I finally gotten into the "control room", then I made another run and got much further into the house than I should've (about 1/150 chance to get that far, by my calculations), I was all set up for a final robbery... and then you steal all of his money first?!? >=(

Re: Name your Price

It's people with tools, people without tools, people with greater than starting bounty. I don't get it.

It's almost makes sense if there's an unpowered trapdoor and maybe you think a clock or magic dance is going to save you.... but a pit!?!?!
