All those traps filling every house now and exploiting the screen scrolling are just as bad imho.

To be fair, there are probably quite a bit of people already who modified the source code and are cheating, even though basic security was build in to avoid the modding of the code.

I would like to see the total build value of a house and ideally filter for that value in the house list.
Globally I would like to see a bit more detailled info on the houses. The wealth is not enough...

Also, I think there is too much hidden information and robbing for poor players is too much based on lucked, ie. too hard.
Big part of this is the screen "scrolling" exploitation with electric grids f.ex. that is very cheap and getting out of hand.

On the other side for rich player it is way too easy. I am not sure how to balance this though.

Use Dogecoins? smile

Wanted to give an update about my house surviving its first night without being robbed and killed more than 20 people. Also it is amazing how many people just run into simple pits and how people are attracted by a long line of serial electric floors smile.

Haven't used it yet but this supports automated screen capture and animated gifs and it is free: http://getsharex.com/

Sorry if I gave the impression of being angry or frustrated, I am fine with the game as it is.
But I just feel that my suggestion would improve the game and reduce getting robbed from people against whom you can't really defend. Reducing the randomness is a good thing IMHO.

>you would be suprised how fast 0/0 houses get picked upon even if they are under 2000

Of course you get action if the value is under 2000, that's the point. But not from people with 2000$ worth of tools in the backpack, only people where you have a decent chance to defend against.

There are many tools that convert videos to animated gifs. Just record the tape as a video and then convert.

>They would spend the first day pumping up a house with no threat of being robbed

You can already do that if you keep checking your house and editing your design as you get more money. You keep the value low and get no attention from rich players. The problem is I have to sleep and then I accumulate money because my design is half decent until a rich player just decides to rob me.

>If people had an option to hide their house for a day it would become TOO powerful

The problem is a bit like the PvP MMOs with regional servers where some people play when the majority is sleeping.

My suggestion would not completely hide the house, it would just show a house value of < 2000$ for a day. The only protection, as a newly spawned player, from a rich player is to not get his attention. What other options do I have? I just hope that no rich player with tools enters my house when it displays 10k money while I am sleeping / at work?

As a new player, I try to keep the house value low to not attract too much attention and so constantly spend money to improve my house design.
The problem is when I am afk (sleeping), the house value keeps raising until it is big enough to draw attention and then inevitably someone stocks up in tools and just brute forces my vault.
And I do not really see how I could avoid that (I am open to suggestions).

So my suggestion is to delay the displayed house value (only for increases) by a day (or other) for recently spawned players, as to actually give them a chance to improve their house design to match the total worth.

What do you think?

I can confirm that there is an issue with the ctrl key when alt-tabbing in windowed mode.
