Yeah or maybe birds which can fly pass pits and crocodiles/snakes that can swim in water if only we had water terrain... - Quoted
The game would turn into a zoo though. I'm not sure if bird & crocodile should be added BUT the tiger is a good idea.
I doubt if anybody else knows about it, and no.
This is nothing about slow fade.
It's more like a debugging function.
and no, this is not a part of the game you see as a normal player.
That is one of the reasons that comb locks are great at beggining, not worth the hassle and easily changed.
High tier house robbers can crack the stuff up no matter what. Infinite tools.
Looks really good.
Wow, looks nice, Sin City Style. Maybe change the club to a sword and its perfect ^^
This.
Why would I waste my time responding to this topic after posting it if I had some kind of desire for it?
Keep the conspiracy theories comin'.
I tried to cross-compile it to Windows on Linux, that's why.
Thanks for your contribution to this, I'll add it to wiki
So can this bug be exploited for anything?
Informing the ones that want to go in a simple adventure for advantage which other players also have but never use.
Though all in all, Combination Locks are making this game a lot less fun for me. Half the time, it's really really intriguing to go through a maze. Doors locking behind you, being chased by dogs, needing dogs to get through traps. Then after all that, you come to a lock, which you have to guess? or break? instead of like the entire other half of the Map, that was Ingenuity and Careful planning? Yeah...
But all other traps all also requiring you to guess what door to open, which hallway to go.
The whole game is a simple gamble.
PS: most used comb lock codes I went through
1 - 3 - 7
2 - 4 - 6
-- Try those above with 2 spaces on each doesn't really matter. People like those.
2 - 3 - 8 -- This might change a little but its the same pattern.
The game is full of trickery and new things to find & explore.
-- Would that mean me not sharing the solution to my TCD house is basically bragging? Because I don't make this community more knowledgable by my traps?
..I should play FarmVille instead.
You don't need to learn to exploit. You need to read the damn OP.
Here, I'll quote it for you:
..and no, you don't even need to activate them because they are activated.

Not a bug, no sir.
and what you said is probably true, it should occur in Windows & Mac too.
For low value houses, solving it is NOT feasible, but for high value houses chances are you are getting more than what you are giving it.
Easy to make.
Try finding 999:2 in house Map, if found, make it pop a msg that vault is broken.
Find it yourself ;p
This is a built-in feature that is highly nice.
..and no, you don't even need to activate them because they are activated.
Well, even though it MIGHT NOT be what you are looking for, there is a future update that will bring the "voltage-tester" in-game.Possibly.

I don't know what you mean about "Using Ubuntu" to build for Windows! I've never tried that, and I have NO idea if that will work. I've always booted into Windows and run MinGW from inside Windows.
Anyway, I think you may need the: w32api package on MinGW.
You should NOT change it to "windows.h" instead of <windows.h>.... the "<>" brackets tell it to look in the system path, which is where windows.h is kept!
Requirements are:
SDL, OpenGL, g++The source package is set up so that building on Linux (for Linux) is super easy. Mac is also pretty easy, if you have SDL installed. But Windows building is a bit of a headache because getting MinGW installed correctly is a bit of a headache!
And trying to do it from inside Ubuntu is something I've never tried, so you're on your own there! :-)
Can you write a guide on how to do it on Windows then?
I built my client on linux already.
Amazing fan art there!
1 Totally possible to make a client that does this.
2 That would get rid of the whole "seeing through walls" problem.
3 Though... making it turn-based would be weird. More like one of those pre-FPS 3d-maze exploration games where you walk NSEW and see the next image.
1 While it is possible, wouldn't it take time and resource?
2 How would it get rid of "seeing through walls" problem while anybody can easily get map-data?
3 Agreed.
bump.
I've noticed the game seems to be pretty slow lately. I don't understand that because it shouldn't be waiting on the server or anything.
How the phuck would server create client-based lag and make the window not respond?
Added you in steam.
Or you could just build TCD in Minecraft.
What you said will require all the code to be rewritten.
Switching over another game engine also requires code to be rewritten.
FPS-style should be forgotten 'til there is a modding team that is adapted to do it.

Easier method - One could set the game that, if the player gets to the safe - then walks away and dies - The game registers the Safe having been touched (Within one square) and... well, the punishment or what to do with that, would be up to the Creator of the game. But a 1 Square radius around the safe, to stop this sort of thing would be easy.
What if they do wizardry to make the movelist exact so it looks like they left right after coming in?
Jason already said it was possible to do a Undo button for robbery.
