You can also smash windows and kill animals and kids with the club. Be careful with pitbulls, though. They kill you once you share a tile, so when the spacing is off between you and the pitbull, a club won't help you. Experienced players set their dogs to be spaced to your disadvantage. Only a gun will kill such pitbulls - or using the traps in the house against it (if that's an option):

Oh, that's just right for my voice. I'll give it another go soon.

#30 Re: Main Forum » Marketing Suggestion - Viral Song Parody » 2014-04-25 13:36:17

That'll make it easier, and more natural for me to sing. Could you speed it up a notch from that slow version? That would put it right in my register.

Edit: I'll try to find a mic somewhere to up the sound quality on the next recording.

Hi Blackout! The previous answers have given you all the knowledge and tools you need to eventually excel in this game. The ones who still play this game absolutely love it. It's not a game for everyone - but it's not marginal either. We're working on spreading the gospel, so to speak - so don't give up on the game and on this great community. We do bicker here on the forum, but the one thing we all stand by is the awesome sauce that is The Castle Doctrine.

Keep at it! You'll love it once it dawns on you. I promise. smile

I still believe in a targeted Facebook ad campaign. You could, for instance, target people who like FTL -and only pay to expose them to the ads. The ads have to be to the point and lead somewhere with valid information about the game and links to videos, the forum and other relevant stuff. I guess this post really belongs elsewhere. tongue

My new grand design is complete - and I survided the selftest. I've dubbed it "Galactus Wants a Donut", after how the mapshot looks. The donut is at the entrance. Galactus is reaching out from the shadows.

Ok. I feel like I'm putting my head firmly on the block here. I only said my voice was passable. It's a dark bass/baryton, and am not at all used to singing this high pitched and fast. The two choirs I've been part of have both had me as a bass. When I got to the end chorus, I couldn't even get my voice up there.  Maybe someone else can (TheRealCheese?) - after all, some of the voices should be different anyhow. Can you use this at all, Gyuri?

One thing I do think is that if he is going to let the game die, he should make this clear on the sales page.  It is £12.99 on Steam, advertised as a 'massively-multiplayer' game. That is becoming a lie, and people might hear of it, come and buy it, only to find that it is virtually unplayable now - letting them pay £12.99 for that is wrong.

That's a very valid point. Do the poll everyone. Let's show Jason we love this game too much for him to not change his mind about the sales thing.

Even though Crazyace isn't very eloquent about the subject, he has a very valid point. If we all take the poll supplied by Lord0fHam here: http://strawpoll.me/1571641 - maybe we can change Jasons mind.

Wow! That gave me goosebumps. If my current house falls anytime soon I'm in on the acting.

I'm sorry to say this, Crazyace. You must be one of the more random people I've come across on the net. Is this a language issue for you? It's like you're replying to things that were never said - and quite often too.

I'm with MMaster on this. Talk to people in a normal and understandable way, please. I'm going to politely ignore you until you do. No offence meant.

You killed my whole family.

#41 Re: Main Forum » R.I.P. » 2014-04-24 01:58:09

I was referring to The Castle Doctrine as a life stealer - not bashing you. My friends fear that they will become too involved in the game if they start playing. That's why they don't want to try it. I was in no way attacking you. I was, in fact, apologizing for making fun of you when I didn't understand the two first posts you made.

#42 Re: Main Forum » This is where we celebrate a selftest » 2014-04-23 23:20:07

Me too. The two weeks I had this (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4478005/thepen.png) house up I credit to extremely careful self testing. I used the step confirmation thingy (what's its face?) to minimize risk. Still almost shat myself on several occations, though.

I personally added 6 friends to this game which is a petty $100? I was just asking you guys to do the same, argue away or make it personal. Yea boys thanks.

Oh. If that was your point, I totally agree and apologize for being somewhat douchy. That effort we all can gather on. I've only recruited one friend. The others see how engrossed I am and shy away from this life stealer. tongue

Our sweet romance,
ended with drops on my club.
Like fresh rose petals.

EDIT: There were bits of brain too - but that's not nearly as poetic.

You will. It's proving harder than I thought to get it right. I've yet to nail the last two lines - and it sounds really dorky when I'm singing with doubt.
