So, yeah. Whenever I'm sitting on my lazy ass waiting for bounties instead of robbing people, I only EVER get $100 bounties. Today was the first >$100 bounty I've had in literally 3 lives (each one lasting a few days). He came in with >$2k worth of tools, some explosives for some reason, and some other tools that would work better. He died in 4 steps. Lol. But the idea still stands; is everyone else having nothing but $100 bounties?

I am good for it.

I have absolute evidence he used my trap house to transfer money between his 3 accounts.

Well, you could always like, make a better house, then these things wouldn't happen

and you also wouldn't be paying someone $150 for something you can do

$150 is alot of money you could spend on better things

that's 150,000 pennies
and 800 quarters

I've been in your house many times before, Leonard R. Carpenter. I've also died many times in your house. I honestly have no clue how to get past the first trap. When you die, could you post a castledraft of your house?

i'd love to check my house while onthe bus, or make a little upgrade on the way

Yeah, I really want an app like that, but part of the fun of the game is coming back and being anxious over whether or not your house has been completely razed

23 paintings... So cute! I'll probably be taking that collection for myself this weekend anyways. Harris 2.0 is already planned.

By the way, if anybody wants to see the Harris floor plan, it should be up this weekend. I'm currently working on a special little story to commemorate our dearly beloved art connoisseur, but I've been busy and the going's been slow.

Good luck on your mission, and remind me not to buy any paintings.

You need a club for this one, because it's blocking the path. Also, there's another dog in the window with the cat, so you need an extra meat for that one as well. So the total for tools on his place is a club and 5 drugged meat

So, yeah. Ironically I died in Connel's house, like, 24 hours after writing a guide on how to beat his house. For whatever reason there was a dog behind a door that had never been there lol. So yeah, I died shortly after losing 6 paintings to Darron Isaac Cannon (he currently has them, if you want to go get them.) so I had no real regrets, but my bounty was a whopping $25,000! I didn't even realize how many small houses I had robbed until I died. Anyways, I told my brother about my death, he was going to go to Connel's house after I told him how I died, and his house was worth $25,000. So after that, I told him what gear he needed and he ended up getting $24k in starting money and has a pretty strong house now.

Where was the extra dog? I've got to update my map!

The second door you run into when you go right, I think.

Hey, Blip, if you're going for another fuckhuge painting collection, Try going after Darron Isaac Cannon. He stole my 6 paintings the other day and his house looks fairly weak, and probably is, because he spent $8000 of the $9000 he robbed from me trying to buy more tools to rob me again.

I see a lot of people setting up $0 vaults to rob to pump up bounty. If I go hit them, they immediately set them back up.  I figure if we make $0 vaults worth $0 bounty they will make $5 vaults.  What about finding a way to lower bounty amounts on vaults that aren't hard to break.  Ie vault bounty is no longer a fixed $1000.  It's maybe calculated on number of unique visitors x $50 and number of deaths x $100.  Something like that.

Something that would effectively get rid of 0:0 $0 bounty boosters, is that whenever you rob a house, a fraction of that house's money that you robbed is added to your bounty, so that if you rob, say, a $10 house, only $1 would be added to your bounty, and a $0 house wouldn't add anything. Or something like, based on the total value of all the tiles in the house, when you get to the vault, some of that worth is put into your bounty? I don't know, but I think it's a good idea.

#68 Re: Main Forum » Who are the art collectors? » 2014-04-08 10:33:21

Well, since Blip dropped 85 paintings into the auction house the other day, I've managed to get a few of the ones I like. But seriously, right now the prices for them are ridiculous. $5000??? Now all the <2k houses are going to have like 12 of them. Which will be good, I guess, because we get to steal them.

You also need to actually know the secret to solving his house- I've gone through his house several times, and *still* haven't figured out the solution.  I keep getting stuck at the powered doors sad Maybe I'm just blind, though.

Here's a guide to solving his house:
When you come in, go right and drug the dog around the corner. Then go right again until you find a lot of electric floors with a fried pit bull. go up through the broken windows so that the cat sees you. The cat will then run onto a sticky pressure pad, this will activate some trap doors later on. Then go to the left and down the door with the electric floors wrapping around the corner. Then continue past the broken electric door commit. go left and drug all of the dogs you see, this will take 3 drugged meats. Continue left until you find a stopped electric door, go through it and go up and press that button. Go back to the aforementioned broken electric door commit and go through the door to the right of it. The powered trapdoors should be closed. Continue to the right after the floors. Go through the door closest to you. Go up it, and you will see quite a bit of electric floors. None of these will be turned on, but don't spam W running up there because you might trip into a pit at the top. Go left, up, then right through the doors and go up to an unpowered trap door, careful not to accidentally fall in it (this actually happened to me), then go press the buttons on the right. make sure the pressure plat the the right of the power source is turned off. Then go down, left, then up, and you should be at the vault.

EDIT: I just went through Connel's house to see if this guide was accurate and someone just dumped a 5k bounty in there. lol.

That's someone's, usually intentionally broken as far as I'm aware, cash-farm house.

Oh yeah, that guy. I sometimes rob him whenever I see his value go above $1100. All you really need is 4 drugged meats because his house is literally unsolvable without them.
