i like how half of them still have unseen animal movement, and all of them have conducting steel walls
Lmao... well at least another brute force user is dead.
pft! doesn't take that long to get the ball rolling again. a little bit of skill and a lot of luck will get the ball rolling!
we had this discussion a long time ago, however rather than kidnapping i think the suggestion was a 'love potion.' a little less.. evil. gives them a reason to want to stay and defend your money, at least.
although.. i wonder.. holding family hostage......
oh i found them earlier, i will have to rewatch my stream vidya to find their name
don't connect your wire wall to power. there you have a fake wire wall!
oh i missed this thread. did anyone say grand theft auto yet?
oh also skater, play monaco with ukuko and me!
is this in the FAQ?
e-mail jason jasonrohrer@fastmail.fm and he should be able to resolve the issue
you already assumed i'm a he
i originally purchased another account because a long time ago a lot of people felt like they couldn't play the game when they already had one huge super-house constructed. the risk of losing it to grids that turned on as you stepped on them (no wire cutters back then) was so high that it wasn't worth going in almost any house.
so another account is purchased with gave me freedom to run around robbing without losing my super fortress. although i usually would end up with two super fortresses and then not be able to play again.
so many changes have been put in place that make having more than one account.. underwhelming. another $2000 to go peek into the house your last $2000 didn't get you anywhere? yeah, you might avoid that dog that ate you last time, but after that you're just plunged back into the mystery. and you'll probably die. and in 24 hours that house will probably be gone, or at least heavily modified.
i had all those tools from a previous robbery before i started streaming, i am not sure if i even realised i had them in the backpack until i looked because i am not sure why i would've started streaming my tool-ball robbery spree without starting on the account that actually had a tool-ball already!
bumpin' in case anyone is awake and wants to watch again. i need a bunch of money for a potential house
sounds like an invitation to me
buying a new wife is as simple as checking a box and clicking a button!
i have two accounts for sure
this is why i always have a brick
is yours working on windows, jason? (and what version and is steam run as admin and probably a few other questions that might help but can't think of)
if i logout after death, i return to a new house.
I don't know how many people still use old fashioned IRC these days, but I've decided to add #thecastledoctrine on irc.quakenet.org on my list of channels to auto-join.
Of course, everyone is welcome to pop in and have a chat about whatever they like. Yep, that is about it for this post!
home burglary simulator 2014!
vegeta is the pound coin you find on the beach and buy an ice cream with!
i really don't understand all these new players coming to the conclusion that their partner is useless!
i thought i totalled this guy on friday!
perhaps he hasn't logged in in a long time and his wife is sitting there with $1000 in her pocket
i think i would actually trade my soul for copy and paste. but i'd regret it because it isn't actually that bad.
i'm always doing some super huge crazy wiring a and at the very end i realise i need to move my whole house over one tile. i just laugh at the tragic comedy, it seems to fit the whole theme of the game well.
one workaround that someone else posted is so find your Steam folder, > SteamApps > common > CastleDoctrine.
rename steamGateClient.exe to something else, then rename CastleDoctrine.exe to steamGateClient.exe.
i think jason commented on it, steamGateClient just registers your steam account to the castle doctrine server the first time you play. or somesuch
i imagine it'll be fixed soon enough!
i think the current wiring system is a good balance. you can already have some INSANE electronics in the provided space.
the reason i like the + wire walls as the only option is it gives you a decision to make. secure, spaced out wiring versus unsecure, tightly packed wiring.
again, rotating voltage switches would unleash a whole new world of possibilities for space saving (voltage triggers that connect to voltage triggers that connect to voltage triggers that connect to voltage triggers who like boys who like girls) and we'd have even more super insane electronics.
the electronics right now are at a good level i think. they can be so complex that i am completely baffled as to how they work, but i can poke and edit at them and make them do what i want with trial and error.
