i have tried accumulating money the method in which you claim to have so much success, but i have only been able to make limited gains doing so. I robbed a lot of houses but often was one tool short before the vault or the house had a cheap wooden facade but concrete and death lay deeper making you waste tools/attempts all the time.

I strongly suspect you have help with your robberies, either you have more than one account or like i have done in the past, have a friend that assists you in scouting houses. I have no real problem with either, I just don't see how else you could possibly be having so much success robbing houses under 20k without help.

I'm not on the top page anymore, i screwed up a few robberies. I was sure you knew who i was anyway.

Or you at least spend your money as soon as you get enough of it, but I very rarely see your value above 10k

This is the ONLY reason your paintings aren't hanging in my gallery btw

You have been very cocky about robbing me numerous times Amatiel. I have 63 paintings, come take them if you can. Even lowballing their worth at 10k each, that is over 600k value right there. Things didn't turn out well for the last few top tier adversaries I have had. If you are Mr Noonan or Mr Dunn you MAY have enough money to get lucky on a brute force, but otherwise, come join the legions of those to have tried and failed.

I am not one to let my value stagnate after the 10k mark when people stop robbing you, I am very active and steal my way up to 20k before going on serious scouting trips. Sometimes peoples bases are so weak that the initial 20k is enough to rob them, then I just spend that money and go scout someone else. Other times I fail to rob them, but have a 3/4 complete castledraft map of their house before allowing 2k robbers to replenish me before going back the next day. My point being; I don't just babysit 10-20k, I use it. And unless I get carried away on a robbery, I never have less than 4k,

A couple of days ago i literally had just loaded up on 60k of tools ready to do you when your value plummeted. I felt rather ripped off tbh, even tho you didnt have much when i first looked at you. Realistically, with the way you manage your funds, anyone who robs you is going to make a huge financial loss. Good strategy i guess.

Also, paintings are worthless.

Dont know if I agree with everything dustman said...

Sometimes unusual traps or traps that appear less than efficient can throw off a robber or lull him into a false sense of security. I would consider my self a pretty clued up robber, and the last thing you want me to be doing... is recognizing often used traps in your house.

The fail safe trap at the very end with the 50/50 chance is highly effective imo. It may be 50% but thats only as a last resort AND you need a crowbar to break it. Although it could be scaled down.

Well my man,

I can guarantee you havent had this fish take a crack at your house before and you will know it when it happens.

Surprised you don't know who I am tbh, as I know who you are..... Mr Howard

PS: Both of you have poked your nose into my place.... and both of you have no balls.

Definitely ok to post such an unimaginative design lol.

Magic dance after magic dance after magic dance

Something like Shane Ronald Gipsons house id be hesitant to post tho

Yea I was hoping for a response from the man by now,

Theres this house i want to rob but it has this truly godawful painting, looking at it makes me feel true pity for the guy it depicts, who has clearly been run over by a truck at some point... Fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down as they say

http://thecastledoctrine.gamepedia.com/File:Auction.png

Its the painting on the bottom right... tongue

#135 Re: Main Forum » Bitter victory » 2014-03-17 05:59:41

Ah yes.

I know Mr Gipson well also, I entirely scouted his house and discovered that his vault was not at the end of all his puzzles so figured he must've moved it to the top of one of his electric floor halls which turned out to be correct, although i did not return to rob him as he wasnt worth enough, and i didnt like his art lol.

I have a few paintings but none of which i particularly like, they are just 'by-catch'. No serious attempts against my house yet, in fact no one has passed the first obstacle yet, despite my max value being 80k at one point.

How do you accumulate so much money? Even when my house was more inviting and wasnt the imposing fort knox that it is now, designed for the sole purpose of keeping vast wealth secure against brute forcing, I get hardly any visitors after 10K value.

Once someone is dead, id say its fair game to post their house, but that's just me

#136 Re: Main Forum » Bitter victory » 2014-03-17 05:22:37

lol

I haven't got many stories of rivalry from my current house unfortunately sad

Even when i provoke people by scouting their house extensively, or even robbing them but leaving their wife with 10K... they come into my house for a bit but give up very easily, way before they should really. Although, if they did put more resources into scouting my place, they would soon realise how impossible it is smile

My house cost just under 100K to build. I have quite a few high value robberies under my belt which I filmed and will release at a later date.

Mr Garcia, Mr Villarreal and Mr Walker are all victims of mine.

You spent some money scouting my house (Gipson), so I wonder if you're talking about me? I have the finest paintings of all, but I don't mind if you don't come back.

Well no after discovering that your vault wasn't at the end of your puzzles, rather i believe it was up the top of one of the electric floor halls, you lowered your value significantlyafter that attempt. I never really liked your art from the start tbh sorry lol

#139 Re: Main Forum » RIP shane ronald gipson » 2014-03-14 17:32:27

Oh thats a shame,

I actually managed to get through his entire house only to find that his vault was not at the end of all his security. Im pretty sure i know where it was though.

I left and didnt come back because i think i scared him and he kept his value right down after that.

#140 Re: Main Forum » It's just me or these is less people trying to rob houses? » 2014-03-14 00:36:19

Overall im afraid 95% of robbers are stupid so its no wonder people complain that high end houses are hard to rob and refuse to rob anything but 2k/1k houses that have timed out at default starting setup

How to tell if you are a stupid robber

- You open doors left to right/nearest to farthest
- You don't explore or experiment with buttons much
- You bring 5 saws and saw into the nearest wooden wall you can find, often after a single step into the house.
- You don't pre scout houses
- You don't reattempt houses after chills is removed and come better prepared next time
- You rush through robberies and die from sheer stupidity like falling into a pit etc
- You don't think through what kind of trap you are looking at
- You bring an unbalanced mix of tools
- You don't learn from your mistakes
- If you have died in Gary Jeremy Coney's house, your chance of being stupid just rose to 99.5% as i have seen MAYBE 2 reasonably clued up robbers.
- You waste tools
- You don't check for clock systems
- You don't bring any bricks or fail to use them appropriately

Seriously, you guys are eroding my faith in humanity. Start actually thinking about what you are doing and you might actually rob someone.

yeh, at least give the ability to get rid of art you dont want. You could actually USE "bad" art to keep people from robbing you. (this works against me with the Beebe paintings 100%)

This will keep him safe from me until something is implemented to address this hopefully

Id appreciate a feature that allows you to return a painting to the auction house, whereupon you receive cash equal to the amount it sold for... or even give it back for free if that isn't possible

It allows for a way to rid yourself of unwanted art (just because the guy u robbed had terrible taste... it shouldn't mean you have to as well)

This fits with the current endgame artwork, as it is the only way of personalizing your house. Snail in the sun and Sky simply don't belong on the wall together

#144 Re: Main Forum » Dear John Stuart Potts » 2014-03-12 07:45:23

Oh how i miss these little rivalries and vendettas...

but with the game slowing down, fewer people robbing me and the people who I have ripped off for thousands/scouted their house extensively seem to cower in fear when they enter my house and dont even attempt to retaliate sad

I am now beginning to wonder if someone will EVER lay eyes on my safe  :'(

#145 Re: Main Forum » [Suggestion] Painting Roster » 2014-03-09 07:22:15

I wouldnt mind actual names on a list that shows who has what, it would bring fame and infamy to those individuals with paintings that people want, especially if there is a record shown of how many people have died trying to get it.

Seriously cool endgame this would be in my opinion

he came with almost 10k tools, do you have a solution to that?

I see lotsa saws water and drugged meat. A smart 10K (or even 7k) house should be able to handle that with correct placing of steel/concrete and pitbulls. What you have illustrated here is obviously a one in 5000 occurrence anyway, which sucks but can hardly be used as an example of the norm.

If it is happening a lot, then simply aim higher: Go for the 30K plus houses, take notes on em (especially the ones that have high numbers as they arent changed often) and hit them every time chills wear off. Do this for every house over 30k and guaranteed one will fall after 2-3 attempts. Most of the houses i knock over with starting tools are worth about 30k.

#147 Re: Main Forum » This is getting ridiculous » 2014-03-09 05:56:35

To everyone in this thread complaining about griefing:

If it bothers you that much, start your house only after a successful robbery with at least 5k to play with. Its not that hard to rob some of the higher value joints. Even if you start taking notes on a particular house after doing a suicide run, so you know what to bring in 24 hours time after chills wear off. I do this every time i start fresh, making my way down the list starting with highest value first, never failed me yet.

After doing this, i laugh at 2k robbers who bring nothing but guns and clubs as they just add to my wealth or leave empty handed.

The good thing about this game... is it's ALWAYS your fault. Yes. Its YOUR fault that you are silly enough to start with a 2k house and expect people not to massacre your family.

If u want to drop a massive bounty somewhere, Ill take it.

Drop it into Gary Jeremy Coney's house.

I assure you my house can handle whatever it may be smile

By the way I was close to beat your house or I really was far from it anyone got this far before?

This is going to sound like bragging. Apart from the one time I got robbed blind while my house was very fresh I've never had anyone get more than 1/3 into my house and toward the vault. I guess it's because I keep my worth low until I'm confident it can take it. Problem is I could end up doing what you just did with your house.

EDIT: You explored a few dead ends and got in the right direction, but I wouldn't say you were close. smile

I've completed my house without dying. There's really nothing to add now, so now I'll see how many kills it'll rack up, while clubbing the odd wife to stack my bounty sky high. Aiming for 200K, so I encourage you all to keep your wives and kids safe. I'll kill them if they are accessible even if there's no profit involved. Jeremy William Costanzo had his wife and kids killed early on, and since he can't have a family anymore he'll punish anyone who does not protect theirs. JWC needs help. He's turning into a psycho... Someone stop him!

Actually i think i killed your wife....
