i can honestly say i dont think ill never have enough money and creative brainpower at one time to make a house like that

Neither did I.

I planned the full design as well as the buildup while I was scouting out all the top houses. After the big heist, the seed money only provided enough to build a little less than 1/4 of the house. I saved $4k to keep an attractive listing. For awhile my house was mostly wood smile.

iceman came poking and I had to spend my first donations on redesigning the front to make it scarier. Luckily the top houses fought among each other and left my incomplete house alone.

As people visited slowly, I upgraded one section at a time, paying for traps first, then the walls and electronics. Then upgrading the wood. Finally opening up the section and moving the vault when it was ready. I usually start upgrades when my value hits about $10k, which gives me $6k for upgrades.

A little planning goes a long way Nakula, I'm sure you can do it. And have you been visiting the gallery? How far have you gotten?

It has been a while since we've had a malfunction with our recording equipment.
If Mr. Savage could please let us know how he enjoyed his stay at the Geyer residence, we can make improvements and adjustments to the accommodations for future guests.

Sadly, the Jensen Gallery's first contributor, Ryan Eric Okeefe (crazyace) has recently passed away. His lawyers have informed me that having no spouse or kids to leave his legacy to, he has chosen to donate a considerable sum to our foundation in his passing.

Many people considered Okeefe to be a little crazy, but he loved our town as much as anybody. In memory of him and his incredible "Church of Multiple Choice Leap of Faiths," I will be naming this section of the Jensen Gallery after him. I present you the "Okeefe Leap":

You can visit this section of the gallery by heading west after the entrance. I believe it holds the true essence of Okeefe's home in that you never know where your choice may lead you.

As it is now - you can have as many accounts as you want so go ahead and use it for this!

I don't have time this coming weekend. However, I may later. Can you give us the link to create accounts here, in case other people want to participate?

Unfortunately, I can't participate in the poll. I purchased before it became full price.

Thank you cylence, and poor you are correct. Congrats.  No one understands me even if I explain things in fine detail. I asked a handful of people to help (the same top 6 of 10 houses) - instead of hurt. Even if I was crazy, you come down to my level to demoralize someone. I went a different route maybe thinking the minority (handful of ....fellow champions) would understand.

Jensen Sir - here is free money you deserve.

edit; Wow, after the update that bty was weak like 30k? 150 clubbing's is only 30k now. I assumed it was Grandfathered in. I threw in some extra saws. Cheers. almost got you to #1. Have Fun.

Cheating, Safety and Being Crazy - is relative bro.

Just to be clear, I wasn't looking for a handout, however I do appreciate your donation.

I'm sad about Okeefe though. I liked that house you built, although it just needed some minor improvements in terms of spacing so that you couldn't check out the options with bricks. You are actually the one who started my house. I got lucky on my second visit to your place. Hope you still keep playing smile

Tasks,
1) Stefan and TheRealCheese to record and pass it to Gyuri.
2) Gyuri to edit the audio.

3) The video needs to be planned.
Any ideas, should we crowd source it? Or maybe try to do the Clubbed to Death and just pull footage from there? (2 birds 1 stone)
Also I think we can pull a lot stuff from the Funniest Home Surveillance Tapes thread.

Who has ideas for the house designs?

I just remembered that we could probably use the free community server to do this. Hopefully, you can create multiple accounts on MMaster's server.

Here are the tasks and what order they need to be done in.

1) House maps need to be designed. Safe home. Trap home. Clubbers home.
2) Build Safe home and Clubbers home
3) Clubber comes to kill wife
4) New logout login with Main Char. Enter safe home. Find wife and watch tape.
5) Continue to build and test with lights until trap home is set up. This should complete Recording 1.
6) 2k Robbers (other accounts) come to die in various places in the home.
7) Logout login with Main Char. Watch each tape, and in between each tape, check the vault to show the tools. This should complete Recording 2
8) Logout login with Main Char. Start the tool gathering and robbery scene. Then the wife kill scene. This should complete Recording 3
9) Clubber or other robber now kills the kids
10) Logout login with Main Char. Enter home and discover kids. commit suicide. This should complete recording 4

11) the recorded game files should then be bundled together.
12) playback the recorded files and transfer them to digital video
13) editing and sound

I think I finally understand what this post is about. It was very confusing to start off. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing it's just a language translation barrier that is causing it.

crazyace is just saying that he loves the game and wants to "revive" it. It needs reviving because it's dead, with the player base being akin to life. He wants to add new players (thanks for inviting 6 friends), but he wants the multi account users to stop taking advantage.

crazyace, I hope I understood your message. Here is mine.

I'm not sure what can be done about map sharing or money/tool transfers to friends/self. The recent change of family bounties has made building up huge bounties more time consuming, however, collaboration is something that can't be fixed. Also, should it be? I don't know.

I know I can't force anyone to play like me. I can only decide how I want to play the game and how I want to contribute. I can understand how you may not want to play because it's an unfair world. But, thanks for inviting your friends to play. If you want to help out, we've got this thread where we are trying to advertise the game and hopefully make it so that people can try it out and see if it's a game for them (its may not be).
http://thecastledoctrine.net/forums/vie … hp?id=2845
It'd be nice to hear your ideas.

Edit: And to the rest. Negativity only breeds negativity. Please keep it positive, even if you can't understand.

Thanks for visiting. My cat had fun playing with you. Luckily he has more than nine lives. Sorry my dog wasn't so playful. You should stop feeding him so much, he gets sleepy after every meal.

I was coming in to scout for my alt, I was rebuilding the entrance on my alt's 2k starter and running drills on how to beat it. I have it kind of figured out.

Ah. Well, there's another puzzle waiting for you after the entrance. I look forward to your visits.

I had another idea for a video. The music would be Clubbed To Death by Rob D. from The Matrix OST and the video could be a compilation of scenes recorded in game dealing with a guy losing his wife to a clubber and seeking revenge. It would be quite easy to do it if some players collaborate on it and kill each others wives, all we need is a script and then some editing of the recorded material. Anyone interested in doing this together?

Gyuri, here's my scene direction. No dialogue, just the overall story arc.

I used this video for the timing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFS4zYWxzNA

I tried to pick out different sounds to break up the scenes.
Please listen for the transitions in the song at the timings I listed.

Discovery
0:00-0:25
Fade in. Player walks in. House is not deadly at all.
Can't find wife. Looks around.
Finds kids around dead wife (mouse over body) camera zooms into "Name clubbed"
Cut to security tapes, Click into tape and ffwd it to the clubbing. Fade to black.

Construction
0:26-0:44
Montage of player creating a deadly house with the money he has left over.
0:45-1:02
Self testing with chihuhuas and indicator lights.
1:02-1:21
More building and final self test. Fade to black.

Collection
1:21-1:40
Robbers come to die in the house leaving tools and bounties
1:40-1:43 (during siren part)
Shows vault collecting more and more tools
1:43-1:50
Robbers come to die in the house leaving tools and bounties
1:40-1:59 (during siren part)
Shows vault collecting more and more tools then fade to black

Theft
2:00-2:18
Player enters, mouse moves over the backpack.
Collects tools, finds house on house list
2:18-2:36
Goes through house finding dog path to family but searches for vault. Needs one more tool
2:36-2:56
Comes back with more tools, gets to vault area and trashes the place before opening vault.

Murder
2:56-3:22
Buys a crapload of guns
Revisits house kills dogs then turns the corner in front of wife at 3:22.
3:22-3:28
Pause and slow zoom in. With gun going off at the high point. Black screen.
3:28-3:40
Fade back in and show player taking money then leaving the house

Ending
3:40-3:54
Player returns home and walks slowly. Then walks runs around fast, then discovers his kids shot to death.
3:54-3:59
Steps up next to kids, pause. Suicide on 3:59
4:00-whenever
Freeze on suicide sceen while credits roll.

As you wish, I think a nice evolution from a starter house to a madman's house would be nice. Listen to the music to get in the mood and give it a nice build-up.

I already did listen and got a nice intro planned out. Wasn't sure if I was gonna do it over multiple lives or if i was gonna have him build up. Mostly likely have him build up. But, I'll finish it after we get the Hide Your Wife up. Don't want you to be distracted smile.

I hate to be a smart-ass, but I am one. A haiku has two more (in fact even more important than the syllables) elements: a juxtaposition of two images or ideas and a seasonal reference. Also the Japanese on is not exactly the same as a syllable, but that's not important, if you don't write in Japanese.

I can see the juxtaposition of two ideas in your haikus, but I really miss the seasonal reference tongue

This works moving south OR west.
The dog will kill you if you move north or east onto a cat.
