Thanks! It was fun. I found the vault just as the sirens came so I tried to use as many tools as possible in 60 seconds (I've entered the vault 5 seconds before cops came) smile It was definitely confusing house and from what I have mapped I would not be able to solve it without tools yet (creepy dogs all around the place). Thanks for the money and tools - I threw those away when I came to Mitchell's place and accidentally left without using single tool sad

I read about that. Its funny that they don't safe confirm when you press left to exit. (i've done it myself, but on 2k lives, where I found it out).

Yeah, the section where you walked up and opened a powered door to find a dog and a pit. That was a weakness I've wanted to clean up for a long time, and was about to. You slipped in the window right before I was gonna change it smile.

I think you still could have gotten in, but you would have to consciously double back. The closed off path would forced you to make a wider circle. And it sounds like you were running out of time to do so.

Enjoy the paintings, I know I did.

It's been awhile since I've done any robbing. However I still like this house and it will eventually all get exposed, hopefully my method will provide great tapes along the way.

EDIT, cleaned up the images and used a slice tool to get it evenly spaced.
Note about images. There are 6 rows and 6 columns and I'll be referring to each image by RowCol

Confirmed. I did a mapshot in edit mode.

Also, still a fair number of people who can't get past the entrance (even though I posted a step by step solution).
Kill count is 17.

I can follow the flow of power.  I understand the mechanics of each tile.  what I do not get it how the hell one comes up with this design, how to recognize and deduce the likely correct path/dance, or how to modify and implement a design based on this into my own house.  seems too much to mentally juggle.  kudos, though smile

As I stated in the guide I wrote, I not fond of combo locks or clock because of the space they take up. Leaps of faith are so compact, require a pet, and are based on timing. For all these reasons, they are my bread and butter.

At the core it's a "magic dance." I really dislike the term "magic dance" though. Both leap of faith, and magic dances use pets to push buttons for a robber to advance. I'd rather call it pet manipulation, but no need to rework an established term. I think it was only referred to as "magic" because people couldn't understand how it was done.

You are just missing the knowledge of pet movement. If you don't understand how pets move in relation to the robber, you should really play around in self test using windows. Then try to figure out pet movement priority, causes some pets to stay in place or move apart depending on the direction. This is all something you can play around in self test with. Once you understand how to move them, you can then use them to be required to push buttons for you that you can't when going through an area.

Along with understanding power flow that you already know, you pretty much have everything you need to create something similar. Just place your trapdoor and electric floor somewhere, then put a power button somewhere unreachable but reachable for a pet and viola, instant trap.

From a robbers perspective, you have know when buttons trigger to figure out the no tool solution.

Hopefully I've inspired you to play around in self test. Even if you have an already established house, you can still play around in self test. I usually clear my front, then surround it with panic buttons so stray dogs can't chase me, then setup lights to test things out. Good Luck smile

I liked your place a lot. I had solved most of the entrance, and had plans to go further, but I was waiting until I had a house to store those paintings in. Then real life got in the way, and I guess I missed my chance. I'll have to rob Scott for the again; I think it's like the fourth time now. tongue

I know what you mean. I'm questioning how much time I'm spending here. It's hard to kick the habit. Sorry I don't have the painting incentive for you anymore. Good luck robbing smile

Actually, he moved the vault, and I found it with only one to spare.

It's more than 40 now. I just robbed Mitchell. big_smile

Edit: I just realized that, if I rob Buckley, that would make my total, if I counted right, 89. Which is 2 more than my previous record.
Or, of course, I could die in Buckley's place again.

Edit #2: I miscounted. I robbed Buckley and now have a total of 99 paintings.

Sad to hear you go man. Hopefully you can stop by and visit once in awhile. The robbing portion of the game is less paranoid filled and is a great break game (slowly building up maps when you got 15 minutes free).

Surprisingly, even with the solution to my entrance posted, I've only seen a few get through the beginning. One of them got pretty far.

Is that you MMaster with your newly reincarnated DMScott?

Re: To the visitors of Ronald Michael Jensen [spolier alert p4]

I've been scouting your house for probably 2 weeks now, and have gotten fairly far in.  The last 2 days I died stupid, stupid deaths, but today I was able to figure out a lot.  If the one who got pretty far used 2 saws and a wire cutter (along with a meat and a couple of waters), that would be me.

And of course, the cost for not dying stupidly in Jensen's house was dying stupidly in Geyer's house...

Fortress Theory Mod - New objects, tools, and paintings!

I keep dying of a natural cause - Stupidity
The biggest thing that Castle Doctrine has taught me is that the price of your house is proportional to the stupidity of the mistake that kills you.

Ah. I hope you weren't dying to the entrance. But yeah, you've gotten decently far in. I'm not sure which runners are you so I'm not sure on how many branches you've explored yet. Your last run should set you up to explore more though smile
