Heh, I just built a house about a week ago and have been doing quite nicely. It seems TCD is actually a lot more fun now than the chaotic early days when my house would be decimated by endless fools while I slept. Now that the sum in my vault doesn't skyrocket overnight, I can actually build a house at a reasonable pace.
Also, the 2k suicide attackers are a lot smarter too. I've noticed the players actually learn from their past lives, disarming "hidden" traps the step before they activate, even making it to potential vault locations over the course of a few days. It's turned into a fun shell game where I keep moving the vault and upgrading while they keep guessing. The endgame of a completed house seems like it will take a month or so, and with such smart suicide robbers I'm surprised there's a house standing at 50k.

I had 67 paintings before 3 sad little players decided to team up and group scout my house, sharing my map on these forums. Between them they spent about 100k to find my vault, but they never cracked it. I retired it and delegated my paintings and money to my brother. He subsequently died in Patrick Victor Connells house and sent them back to auction. I was planning on going for 100 before they group brute forced me. Probably would have gotten there too. With 80% of my map posted online, they knew how to find the vault for about 20k, but for a single person who wanted to keep a safe path back to the door and had no idea where the vault was it was impossible short of 100k worth of tools. Had multiple 60k attempts who never came close.
They had their little panties in a twist, accusing me of having dual accounts when I didn't. Blip, you are open about having multiple accounts, so I would beware of 42dustman and amatiel (and one other, can't remember his name). They will probably start teaming up and sharing your design on the forums soon.
When you had 67 paintings you weren't on top of the list. Heck, you weren't even anywhere near the front page.

MMaster was also before me, and I took down someone else who rose above me late last week. Being on top is just not the same since the days of JWG and $50 bounties.

I've been learning how much it costs to rob houses, then when I think someone has more money than it'll take to rob them I'll start my heist.

Woah, guys, before we make wild accusations, I don't think DaVinci actually intends to use the hack ruin the main server. I mean I'd be a prime target, and I haven't been robbed yet, so...

Made off with $6209, 133 saws, 11 torches, 5 explosives, 8 bricks, 20 wire clippers, 139 water, 77 drugged meat, 10 clubs, 11 guns, and 4 ladders.

4. Getting the map needs more brain power to solve it. ( I tried with high-end houses, takes you quite a while to see everything and calculate every step. ) --> currently this is valid for Snyder's house.
*rolls eyes* Yeah, if you cheat to see my whole map my house can easily be solved with a single ladder and brain cell. But without cheating revealing my map would be pretty expensive.

Server went down between 4 and 5. I felt a little foolish for not bricking the final switch on run 4, since steppipng on it locked me out of the safe. I should have known there would be a chihuahua puzzle somewhere.
Edit: Last run I just exploded straight to the vault.

now that i've lost my house, i'm scouting almost everything above 5k and i'm finding TONS of "20 cats combo lock" or "here's a dog, choose between these 20 commit gates....
seriously guys, it's disgusting... exception made for few houses, the vast majority share a shameful lack of cleverness.

I like to think that I'm the "one guy who solved the entry puzzle" when you mentioned it on the steam forums. Of course on that 2k run I made the mistake of drugging the dog, which locked me out of the powered trapdoor puzzle right next to it.

Currently, if you're killed by the cops the owner gets a disconnect security tape and all the tools you entered with, regardless of how many you used. I'm pretty sure it's the same with disconnect deaths.
Also, it's quite rude for you to keep coming into my house, opening my hallway door, and then promptly leaving, Walter...

Should be funny. If its anything like Connell's FUCKING misplaced dog that ended my last life (19 paintings, 60k house, 30k money) then you might be more successful than you think
Heh, moving that dog was my doing. Sometimes I just want the free money to end.
Also, isn't the real question here "Why do you have a $0 empty house?"
