yes i took a better look its a very nice place

#4 Re: Main Forum » Luttrell dual account ussage » 2015-10-10 14:58:15

oh good lord i've been looking at that since you posted it and i still don't know the answer. Wonderful. So it is a cat combination lock on steroids with doors and switches instead of wires. very nice, that's not your house however?

Which house?  I robbed a few houses yesterday but I did not scout with secondary accounts ahead of that.  Not sure which house you are referring to.

Actually I have 2 accounts but my secondary account was another established house.

All I have to say is it seems like anytime anybody gets robbed they come on the forum and start complaining.  This makes the game look bad.  I happen to have robbed Henson like 4 times, which was one of most challenging houses of all time, with tools 3 times and I discovered the dance and solved it without tools as well, and I always risked my main account to do it.  My point is I know what I'm doing and if somebody came in before me and tried the same shit, maybe that is what your house design is telling them to do.

Ok i mean no offense it is quite hard and i do agree it is rather poor sportsmanship. lutrells house has what i believe to be some form of extreme cat dance with 3 cats viewed upon starting and run on a clock with trapdoors and electric floors to be honest i cant say much about the design due to having never taken more than 3 steps into the house i'm not a fan of cat dances.
on the topic of my suspicions i threw it out there because i had 2 accounts stock my house before lutrell robbed it if it was sheer luck or actual dual account usage i cant say.

Also if you might happen across my name it might be interesting to know i have a rather fortified entrance magic dog dance strait down and 2 visible dogs from the start.

Also please do not rage at the rough and dirty combo lock i threw in at the end its only there to hold the space for right now and i'll knock it out when i get the chance.

I mean I personally have no issues with dual accounts i understand while it can take the risk out of the game a bit, the only time i frown upon it is to use it for suicide scouters to throw at a house before the main account comes in to sweep up the vault which it appears Mr. Luttrell is doing, earlier today multiple scouts attacked my vault before lutrell came in with just a few more tools than he would need to claim my vault.

heyo i'm back from my little break, switched over to the community server since it seems slightly more populated if not better of economically... Now not sure if anyone is here or not but it'd be nice to have a little roll call just to know who's still out there.

#11 Re: Main Forum » Free Community Server with New Features » 2015-05-16 14:54:05

Ok im back took a little break to get some creative juices flowing since the main servers dying i think im gonna jump ship to the community server Mr. Hunnicutt shall donate his bounty to some poor chap and shall never be seen again. Though it was tempting to rebuild...

Using a very fast key bind the fastest i managed to get through the place was 18.5 minutes.

So much for every house being solvable without tools. ^^

yeah that was the idea unless you knew what you were doing the house was almost impossible without tools. unfortunately, the small psych tricks in there took up so much room there wasn't very much space left for vault defenses... The robber ultimately crossed over the pits to the dance, and from there cut up the wired wall to the clock beating several dogs to death and smashing open all the doors there until he found the vault.

Previously eppfel had broken through the doors upwards before walking to the practically unguarded vault... The change i made prevented future robbers form easily taking that rout.

Not knowing if i set everything up correctly the first time was the most torturous i sat there waiting for a solid 30 min (before ultra fast keybind) waiting for the doors to open, knowing that a single misplaced wire (i had found others previously) would end my entire game and i may never even know if it was the wire or me just giving up too soon. Needless to say i will never build something like this again...

Well it has been done Mr. Provost took all $214K only to die that very evening. he blew several giant holes in the wall and didn't even bother to play with the only fun mechanic in the house. an 8000 step clock. Thats right the whole place was a ruse. the little entrance dance was just built to make the place seem like an authentic building. after the dance lay a 3 button combo lock to switch on the clock where the robber would be trapped in a room forced to walk back and forth for 8000 steps until the door opened. after that he was then forced to take 8000 more to allow the trapdoors to close. The whole place was supposed to trick you into thinking you messed up the combo or some elaborate dance. and even if you did figure it out, force you out of time. Using a very fast key bind the fastest i managed to get through the place was 18.5 minutes.

I could have fixed up the place pretty easy. a small donation would have bought the small upgrade i needed to fix the walls. but mr. Hunnicutt has had his fair share of glory time to move on to something better...

Now who gets the bounty???

Hi,

I am new to this forum. Confession: I haven't played The Castle Doctrine yet, though I intend to.

What I have been playing is I Wanna Steal Your Wife. Does anyone want to visit my houses there?  I have a few houses that no one has solved yet. Please come and visit! smile

Things are getting more and more interesting. Several of you have passed the dance and one of you was even brave enough to chance a look at a different part of the house. Good luck all ye who dare enter.

so earlier tonight i robbed an empty 2k house claiming to have $-668. Curiosity got the better of me so i enterd to rob the place assuming that no cash would be found. To my surprise when i robbed the vault it said i stole $-334. I quickly checked my cash memorized it and ran back in. to club the wife. when i robbed her i found her to be carrying $-334. But not only that but somehow i was charged $334 out of my vault. I guess i felt so terrible about trespassing and murder i gave the poor chap $334 for each offense.

as I understand it this is not the first time this has happened but I've never known people to be charged money for robbing. what would happen if i couldn't pay? do i take out a loan? or does the whole house get reset.

also what could possibly cause this negative money nonsense?

His name was Leonard Robert Barnett

Well i think i'm gonna go for it. Collecting all of the paintings. as of now several are out in limbo and i would like to see those returned soon, but for now I will attempt to claim those currently in the server. Current count is 83. 7 more remain on the server. if you own one you may consider redecorating a bit. So of the 155 only 90 remain. Please if you have an account in limbo with paintings in it build a house or go robbing. Just do something to stir up the game.

I have also taken down the other person who had quickly risen in cash with 60K in the vault i believe you may have made your deposit there. no problem i relived him of his burden.

Good to know, Im still working out the function of the dog box you keep in all of your maps it's supposed to trap people correct? the doors open after a certain time or place and you find yourself surrounded by dogs? I like it but it is just as cheap to break as the single dog door trick and far more expensive to build. still nice idea though.

Mr. Romero it is a dark day. with such a terrifying house at your disposition you became to big a threat. Tonight i gathered my tools and went in knowing that either the deed would be done or I would not come out. Alas I entered with just enough materials to cross your bridges of death, and having found your vault plundered it of its sinful goods. Then realizing that my deeds would not go unpunished should you rise back from power i returned to kill your wife and steal what little you had left. I am sorry Mr. Romero keeper of the dog box.

#22 Re: Main Forum » Free Community Server with New Features » 2015-03-18 20:36:25

hmm i'm curious if one feature could be a copy and paste of one of those numerical house translations. so a castle draft house could be copy and pasted in without the actual site. And any old log of a house can be imported from a replay.

#23 Re: Main Forum » Free Community Server with New Features » 2015-03-17 10:21:32

This is all sounding quite exciting honestly these all sound like a great addition.

Now just curiouse is this server browser capable of interacting with the main server?

Huh which one of you is trying Mr. Hunnicutt's house with some high (1000+) bounties and decent tools? You guys are getting closer to finishing the dance and one even completed it and killed himself by guessing a step.

Well today i learned that if you attempt to club a wife while another clubbable creature is on top of it you kill the poor fluffy creature instead of the wife. Who knew? also all family members follow the same movement priorities (Up>Right>Left>Down)

Not sure if the latter could be used to create some form of family logic nonsense but it certainly sounds fun.
