Mr Smith's meticulously curated collection was sadly stolen, but news of his death has been greatly exaggerated
Yeah the fact that you can see how much a house is worth after a visit means the house list is now mostly < $200 houses that have a hazard near the doorway that costs more than the house is worth to bypass. Maybe if a squatter house has gone X visits without a robbery or a death drop another tool in there. Otherwise they're just filling up the house list.
Actually kinda like the braindead houses. It's like salary, but with at least a little bit of risk involved.

This is great. Some of these houses are super creepy, and they're all fun to explore.
I can see having broken walls in your house to fool people into thinking it's squatted (and not taking due caution) being a viable new tactic!
Dammit, now I have to remember how everything works
I've corrected the price of cats and doors on castledraft. Holler if there's any others.
If you turn word wrap off you'll see that the house code is all on one line.
Four crowbars, two water, two meats and three guns?
And as LiteS said — every time someone dies the vault will become robbable again, letting people repeatedly save damage.
If you enter with tools, you get chills when you die.
How about a tool to unpress a button? You would have to be adjacent to it and it should probably cost something like a saw or the likes.
You can use a crowbar to un-stick a sticky switch.
If you're rolling in money, of course.
I'm pretty sure the next Christmas sale on steam will get us more fresh meats... Just got to be patient
Awkward.
Surely the tabloids have a lurid 3D map of the torture house?
I'd say it's time to put bounties back up to $200, or even $500.
Now that the house list defaults to your own neighbourhood it seems that robberies are spread more evenly across the wealth range, rather than the richer houses snowballing like crazy on the front page.
Dance around the trigger lock
Challenge: Create a house version of an in-game painting that is actually tricky to solve.
You could try this:

The dog won't jump in the pit unless the robber blows through the concrete above the doorway.
Oh yeah, SpyParty is great fun!
Can't remember how I heard about it. Either a write up of the alpha on RPS or a mailer from Jason.
Some of my favourite indies of the past while... Hotline Miami, Monaco (another vote for best co-op!), Escape Goat, Starseed Pilgrim, Teleglitch.
And lots and lots and lots of Spelunky.
Ok I think that's fixed now. Let me know if it comes up again.
Josh can you let me know what steps you are taking to reproduce the bug? I'm having trouble reproducing it now.
Yeah I'm aware of that one. It's on my list.
Update [23.02.2014]:
– Added initial robber view to grid overlay
– Added diff function (show money spent since you toggled the button... handy for planning an upgrade)
– Added fill function (for the pitbull ocean you always wanted)
There's a couple of bugs I'm aware of with the fill function (you can paint the doormat, and fill the house with family/vaults), but if you find anything else, please let me know.
This'll do the trick:
The bottom left of the map seems to be the favourite spot for fake combo locks.
