Oh, I didn't think of that. So I could have the same painting with the same name and title instead of every single painting in the game?

I can't do anything with Hide Your Wife without the recordings so I have time to discuss your script.

Dear fans of any art except for William Beebe, I might have found a solution for you. Also those paintings are a no-rob for quite some players so one can use them for defence as well.

I just tested what happens if you exchange a painting in the gameElements/gallery folder for another tga file with the right size and the same name. As I hoped, the new painting is shown in the game. So you can just load any other pic into the William Beebe folders.

This way you can have any painting you want in your gallery (except for the artist's name and the title), and nobody would know, because they see the painting loaded from their own gallery folder. You can use any of the other paintings, the Fortress Theory ones or make new ones yourself.

Of course we could also act as a community and provide pictures for anyone interested to change them, so a couple of us could have the same fake paintings. What do you think?

Thank you, much better cool

As you wish, I think a nice evolution from a starter house to a madman's house would be nice. Listen to the music to get in the mood and give it a nice build-up.

Write a script and we can discuss it here.

I hate to be a smart-ass, but I am one. A haiku has two more (in fact even more important than the syllables) elements: a juxtaposition of two images or ideas and a seasonal reference. Also the Japanese on is not exactly the same as a syllable, but that's not important, if you don't write in Japanese.

I can see the juxtaposition of two ideas in your haikus, but I really miss the seasonal reference tongue

You can record it in pieces as well, and if some part is too fast or too high, I can make a slower and/or deeper plackback for you with two clicks.

I had another idea for a video. The music would be Clubbed To Death by Rob D. from The Matrix OST and the video could be a compilation of scenes recorded in game dealing with a guy losing his wife to a clubber and seeking revenge. It would be quite easy to do it if some players collaborate on it and kill each others wives, all we need is a script and then some editing of the recorded material. Anyone interested in doing this together?

Very nice, thank you for sharing!

#61 Re: Main Forum » How is this even possible? » 2014-04-22 01:24:09

You can even club her if you step on the gun.

Stefan, just record it a couple of times, don't care about mistakes. You can listen to the song through your headphones and record only your voice. Anyone else interested do the same please, I'll check what can be done with those recordings. I need only your voice, nothing else, especially not the playback.

Hmm no. Even tools don't help. You get a lot of 3-step tapes don't you?

#64 Re: Main Forum » [Fortress Theory] Ichabod Edward Mann - Church of the Silence » 2014-04-21 15:40:14

Right now I think every regular player has a house so noone will risk his life.

Currently I don't have any cash so I can't even test if I can use tools in the dark.

Ok I have no idea how to solve that house (the last version). Can you please post a solution?

Yeah, I don't have any Autotune experience either. However if you find someone that does, you don't need a good singer and can do it yourself. The purpose of Autotune is to adjust the bad singing to good singing.

Well, not quite, it just adjusts the pitch, that's still not good singing. That isn't the main problem, english isn't my first (not even my second) language, and I think you would want to have this without an Eastern-European accent.

If you record your lyrics, preferably not just spoken but with the slightest hint of singing and melody, I'll find a way to do this. Sometime.

Yeah I just figured out that I mixed up which one turns on first.

Whoever Mr. Southern is, I want to see the solution to that gas chamber sometime. It looks unsolvable to me.

#69 Re: Main Forum » Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3 » 2014-04-20 17:01:29

Thanks Iceman, very cool stuff (I think, I haven't tried any of the new stuff).

Somehow the web view seems to be fucked up, it only shows two houses right now (Mann and Southern), in the game there are four active houses (including Denton and myself, Hernandez I think). I first thought it has to do something with the versions used but I already have v3 and my house doesn't show up.

After I robbed Klein with v2 I didn't leave the robbery screen because I had to go and didn't have the time to do anything with the money. I left it like that until I returned home and installed v3 before quitting v2. I really expected to die because of this, but I lived with all the stolen money, so finally I could build my castle and complete the self-test. I hope this is not what fucked up the database.

You did not complete the magic dance tho. I think a trap-door next to electrics would fix it.

It didn't kill me, that's about the first time in more than one year playing TCD ;-)

If only your magic dance was harder ;-)

No it's me dumping cash in the Wilson house. And your house has some very week points.

#74 Re: Main Forum » Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3 » 2014-04-19 14:46:56

Yeah that's fun. Did that a couple of times in the last days and then died selftesting in my unbreakable fortress.

I do audio stuff but I have no Autotune or any experience with it. Also I'm a bad singer. If anyone would sing it, record it and send it to me, I could do the audio editing required.
