I was thinking about all that money that currently rests in Limbo. Because I have no creative house ideas right now, it feels like a burden. But TCD is a game and should not be another item on my todo list.
And just a few days ago I had the chance to grab mala's $80k vault and I didn't, because it felt not worth it. So, what's it worth then?
Let us do a little experiment...
*The Castle Doctrine Ingame Dollar
You are bidding on a lifetime experience. The Castle Doctrine is a game for nerds. For people that have endurance, passion and to much time for playing computer games. And it is hard. Only few players thrived to accumulate funds above $100k. And even less get a hold off that much in an instance.
With that much money you do not need to build your house from start up, but immediately take part in the endgame. Build a house like the legendary Corey Phillips Smith or be a hero and share your wealth by letting others rob you. The possibilities are endless...
There are multiple delivery options:
Standard: You send me a house entrance screenshot or a name and I will suicide at your door mat. This includes a bounty of x and a loss of half the cash (not tools) due to conversion of money into transportable goods (tools).
Speedy: We will make up an online meeting point and I let you rob my empty house. After you are back online I suicide at your door step for the extra bounty of X.(No refunds if transaction is unsuccessful)
Premium: For bid + $16USD I will transfer you my account credentials, so you receive 100% of the credits + plus a valid The Castle Doctrine account
***Special***
If the bid surpasses $19.4USD I will add a personal security check service to the offer. Send your plans for a new house and I will check it for weaknesses.
If you want to stay anonymous you can send me a private bid and I will post it here. Happy bidding!
The offer ends Mo, 9th Feb 2015 at 9am UTC/GMT
Bids:Cullman: 20 USDAmatiel: 25 USD
Cullman: 40 USD
The bid is closed and goes to cullman for 40USD
what value are you at i might take a peek if i havent already...
It's not up. Suicided to get another 2k, because there was a 2k starter house on the list and I needed a crowbar ![]()
Muhahahaha, if you won't build no new traps for me, maybe ![]()
No, just kidding. Thought there would be more changes. There are just not that much challenges out there (despite the guess-the-combo or guess-the-dance houses).
But I'm getting creative again. Builded a 2k house today I wanted to try out..
But it looks to me that even in the currently small community there was a good amount of multi-account activity used to gain certain advantages.
I also observed people using multi-account tactics to use mine and others' broken homes as money-dumps for secondary accounts multiple times per day.
I'm positive about at least one dual account player: Mr. Noble and Mr. Robinson. I scouted and solved both houses (I think Robinson is just the reincarnation of the house I robbed) and they are so similar, that I could not imagine a copy cat. But I did not see any money movements between both houses, so who cares?
And actually I don't see an impact of dual account abuse on the game right now. (Despite me holding back money in Limbo
)
Ps: your methodology would be interesting.
Well shit i'm not helping much.
Just robbed a guy so i could go investigate what the mala cats do... Go back to kil his wife so i can get the ladders, his commits get me cause i already robbed his vault FML.
10K lost including all the ladders i needed... i couldn't just build a house with 6K
Oh man, you wasted 6k.
I robbed Lau for 12k, only because I knew his house would be completely intact afterwards. And then I wanted to give the money to a scout, with a simple commit gate keeping out the house sitters. The left-overs are collected now...
PS: Never mind. That money was used to create a combo lock. Should have left it with Lau.
So this if n*cycles means steps in the game then all you need is a counter.
For example this door is always powered after 10steps. http://castledraft.com/editor/LJHdcA
But I guess you mean something different.
So, as promised I did not rob you! Just solved the house on a tool-less run (more presents for you). Compliments on the house. Hard to brute-force, but can (mostly) be scouted.
Chill out. I won't take your money. I have over $200k in Limbo and I need an account without a house to keep robbing. I just want get the solution.
Ps: Seems it was really a lot of luck last time ![]()
I surpassed the cats and I think I know the solution for the next part as well. Looks familiar
Please don't change it, it is a lot of fun right now.
I have two accounts in limbo and I can't quite remember, if I took some paintings. My motivation in house building is rising, so if I find the time next week, I will reactivate my accounts. So, please do not contact Jason, he may just reset all accounts in Limbo ![]()
with no common chat and due to the small population this is probably one of the most mature community i've ever found on the internet
True
It looks very nice. I really like the visual style. Sadly I cannot try it out, because I'm only on Mac right now.
Yeah, but now it looks very scary
...and I already cracked it. Your cat combo lock is saving your ass. Hope you don't change it too often and give me a chance.
Yeah, same, same..
I set up a little trap for Keenan, so maybe I killed him
I put the dog one space closer to the entrance and robbed him, hoping of him running into him in quick self-test. His house was getting on my nerves. And the design looked familiar to me. Not uninteresting though.
I heard rumors Heck is not dead, but in Venezuela...
I did not try out FT too much, but by considering to add tiles, you should stick to Jason's paradigm that every tile changes gameplay. As gyuri suggested mobiles that run on power was a nice addition in FT. I built the example he mentions myself and it was actually not surpassable with tools safely, which there is no such counterpart in TCD. So, there have to be new tools as well and a lot of balancing. It took one year of alpha and over 20 iterations for TCD to be balanced out like it is now.
I thought it's in the wiki, but I can't find it. Player death is calculate at very last. I remember the order being something like: pet movement (and family) -> electronics -> death of pets (and family) -> death of player
After tool-use the cycle runs without movement of pets and family.
I really like your house, because it is very enforced, but still I can solve it step by step. I just found your save, so Davidosn got to you and it's not yet fully repaired?
Oh, what irony. Davidson, who cleared out the top houses, has a code lock himself... I've got to bring you down!
Can't wait to get home and see that. I was planning something similar, because I dislike all those upper houses having code locks. Finally some suspension again...
Yeah, saw it, too. I'm confident he is a reincarnation.
Disonnect gives all tools to the owner. I think AFK 5 min and the cops are both lead to a disconnect video. But it is different for the robber, because a AFK immediately kills you, whereas the cops get you when leaving the house.
Oh, I spent the last weeks only robbing and I saw so many copycats. Sometimes I think I created a monster...
I built an purposely broken house a few month ago and designed the entrance in tribute to the evil 4 doors house of mala. Therefore it was quite deadly and racked up about $20k before it was damaged irreversibly. In it's final stage it had some more doors and a trapdoor as defense.
PS: Why are you still complaining about douches?
PPS: Hale to the syndicate!
