This is a message for Jason. Would it be possible to add the solo-player mode that Cullman created for Terminal Heist and add it or a version of it to the game? It would really help the new players Learn the game. It would also be great for returning players to refamiliarise themselves with the game.
Bump. The game is alive again and so is the discord.
This is my first time on the forums for a few months. Great to see progress coming along Cullman! Keep me in mind when you are ready for alpha/beta testers!
Great to hear this is still alive and going well. I'm looking forward to it!
Ah, Mitchell! Gyuri, yes I do recognise and remember your house. The lower part is different and I'm going to have to think to work that out, but the top left part: I'd recognise that anywhere!
Not me, I've just been Santa running from time to time. I'm still thinking about a new house. Although I did have a house a while back along that description... Several, actually!
I've just been doing a few Santa runs. So
Few houses!
Thinking of coming back...
Here's an idea for free/premium: if you pay, you get Two houses! The biggest benefit to two houses is using one to build and one to rob/scout. With just one house it is very hard to do both at the same time.
The problem is that if a player does have two accounts there are many ways to cheat. These can be prevented by legitimate premium two house accounts. As you can have it set so that the two houses cannot communicate with each other: pitch it as owning two spaceships. You wouldn't rob your own.
Not only would this allow free players to continue playing indefinitely, but it would also hopefully reduce the desire to make two account for cheating purposes.
Wait for Terminal Heist.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I have an IQ of 150 and a penchant for puzzles. While I don't put a lot of weight on a high IQ, it does seem to indicate a desire to explain the unexplained and then think of the next step up. In the case of TCD, a desire to solve the unsolved house and create a stronger one.
So Albrechts is officially dead! I finally decided to try improving the house on my phone and it didn't go so well. The most annoying part is that I couldn't save a map with changes to see what went wrong. A leap of faith pit that should have closed didn't work, meaning Albrecht fell to his death. He leaves behind two orphans and some 50+ pitbulls.
I forget if it was in FT or just a suggestion way back, but electronic windowed curtains were a good idea (linked to a standard switch). If closed, animals can't see you and, of course, you can't see them!
The house is still far from fixed. I've been PC-less for a long time now, meaning I'm reliant on my phone: not ideal for whole scale changes. When I can, I will secure the house properly.
The funds were well received, JAAM, along with a few other... Careless explorers. Albrechts is still vulnerable but vitally still alive!
So which one of you is Luna? Luna robbed Albrecht (I think that was my name, it's been a while!). Brute forced, unfortunately. No one besides Eppfel ever got passed the first trap. Still, it was nice to see a video that wasn't 4-steps: fry or 7/8 steps:doggy suicide. Enjoy your $140k. Finally I can start robbing again without fear of losing it all! Albrechts bounty will be donated to the first intersting house I see. The house will not be revealed as the entrance, originally created to generate quick cash to attack Smith before he fell, has proved very lethal and hard to solve. Expect a tougher version as soon as I can raise the funds to build it!
I've now play tested and completed every level. They are all solvable except 177, which seems to be missing a wire cutter to solve it. 141 and 149 are the same map. The rest are great! Some real puzzlers in there!
I've played through 150 levels now. All are solvable, but 141 and 149 are the same level, I believe...
I've just play tested the first 60 levels and they are all solvable.ill move onto the others when I have a little more time.
Congrats, Passive. I didn't realise you were trying. My plan was to see enough of the house to solve it toolless. On the days where I didn't screw it up I could get to the far right, halfway down (then with tools is seen to the bottom right and left a little). I guess I need to peek in your house now then!
@Eppfel, see my edit above. It was a wasted attempt
So I just had a look in Eppfel's house for the first time in a long time - all of the codes have changed, particularly for the top left trap which wasted a lot of my crowbars. Knowing the principle of a later trap allowed me to see a little more than Eppfel would have liked. I took a few notes so will probably have another look inside soon...
Edit: Damn it. I learnt the top left sequence, practiced it (getting it wrong several times, but finally figuring it out) spent some time planning the tools I needed for progress and a safe passage back out, then went for it. I only forgot the sequence for the top-left trap again! What a waste of tools
I'm done with Smith for now. Perhaps another day I'll try again.
I've just tidied up the house on my phone. Always scary.
The frustrating thing is I don't have access to a PC right now. I've been wanting to make changes for a week but daren't on my phone. Hopefully in a few hours...
